We are currently supporting Nacro with their recruitment for a Housing Support worker in Colchester/Chelmsford.Your new role We are seeking a Housing Support Worker to join the Nacro team in Colchester/Chelmsford area on a 3-month basis. The main focus of this role is to provide support to residents by creating person-centred support plans. You will meet with residents, discuss support needs and how you can support them to meet their objectives; complete Support and Safety Plans, work with Community Probation Practitioners and Court Staff to best support our residents. You will also need to be able to help residents with applying for Housing Benefits and paying rent etc. To ensure our properties are meeting expected standards in terms of repair and cleanliness, you will need a sharp attention to detail to ensure that the houses are clean, tidy and all repairs are reported and actioned. You will be allocated a number of properties to manage, working as part of a larger team to deliver the service across your region. To achieve this, you will need to have access to your own vehicle and have business insurance.This role is 35 hours per week, shift patterns and flexibility will be discussed during your interview.
