Job Title: General Foreman - Highways Civils
Location: Dewsbury, Leeds
Rate: -300 per day (Outside IR35)
Start Date: End of April
Contract Duration: Ongoing work until at least Christmas

We are currently seeking an experienced General Foreman to join a Tier 2 contractor delivering a highways civils scheme. This is a site-based role requiring strong leadership, coordination, and a proactive approach to health & safety and programme delivery.

• Oversee day-to-day site operations on a highways civils project
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and operatives to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
• Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Coordinate site activities to meet programme deadlines
• Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and inductions
• Monitor quality of works and ensure compliance with specifications
• Liaise with site management, engineers, and project stakeholders
• Maintain accurate site records and reports

• Proven experience as a General Foreman on highways or civils projects
• Strong supervisory background with the ability to lead teams effectively
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance
• Ability to manage multiple work fronts and prioritise workload

• CSCS Gold Card
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

• Long-term contract with continuity of work through to at least Christmas
