Contracts Manager
A client within the Public Sector based in Berkshire is currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager - Housing to join their Finance - Procurement team as soon as possible. The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a Housing Services environment.The RoleKey purpose of the role is to provide expert contract management and procurement advice to Housing Services, ensuring robust governance arrangements are in place and that contracts are effectively managed in line with statutory requirements and council policies.Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:• Maintaining a contract management strategy for Housing Services, introducing appropriate governance and key management controls.• Leading on strategic and annual performance reviews of housing contracts, preparing reports, strategy papers and options appraisals to support procurement activity.• Maintaining and updating the Housing contract register, ensuring the council''s contract management system is accurate and up to date.• Providing expert advice on procurement regulations, Council policies, Standing Orders, UK legislation and relevant case law, ensuring full compliance across all contracts.• Supporting the delivery of social value, sustainable development and inclusive growth through effective tendering and business development activities.The CandidateTo be considered for this role you will
