The opportunityWe are working with an established and growing international business in Yeovil that is looking to appoint an Interim Accounts Assistant to support its finance function.This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys transactional finance, working with data and ensuring accounts are accurate and up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting both accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Processing and reconciling supplier and customer invoices
• Carrying out three-way matching
• Maintaining accurate financial records and data
• Completing high-volume finance data entry
• Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies
• Supporting reconciliations across AP and AR
• Assisting with wider finance and project accounting activities
• Using Excel to manage and review financial information
• Providing general support to the wider finance function

What we''re looking forIdeally, you will have:

• Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
• Good AP and AR experience
• AAT qualified or part-qualified, ideally
• Strong reconciliation skills
• Good Excel knowledge
• High attention to detail and confident data-entry skills
• Sage 50 experience would be highly advantageous
• Project accounting experience would be beneficial
• A genuine interest in developing your career within finance

Due to the nature of the position, you will need to be comfortable working onsite in Yeovil five days per week.
