An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Workshop Technician/Fitter to join our team, based at our site in Widnes.

We are looking for a practical, reliable and experienced fitter who is confident working on fuel and chemical vehicles/tankers and enjoys a varied, hands-on role.

Key Duties

• Servicing and repairing fuel and chemical vehicles/tankers
• Preparing vehicles for MOT and ADR testing
• Carrying out general maintenance and repairs
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues
• Working with mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Carrying out other general workshop duties as needed

Skills & Experience

• Extensive practical experience as a Mechanical Fitter
• Apprentice-trained and/or time-served preferred
• Experience working on HGVs, tankers or similar vehicles would be advantageous
• HGV Class 1 licence preferred but not essential
• Competent in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic work
• Able to work independently and use your own initiative
• Reliable, practical and safety-conscious
• Positive attitude

Part-time or full-time hours available

Competitive salary – hours and salary negotiable depending on experience
