About the role Balfour Beatty is currently recruiting a Senior OHL Design Engineer to join the Power TandD team in Derby.We are open to both full time and part time candidates (including job share), and offer a flexible working policy.Role purpose: - Perform and lead the design delivery Overhead Line Projects up to 400kV, from tendering to project handover. - Deliver projects in compliance with industry standards, customer requirements and Balfour Beatty governance. What you''ll be doing Key Accountabilities: - Deliver the allocated Line Design scope of works to programme, budget and quality. - Embed Safety and Sustainability by Design in all designs. Key Responsibilities: - Act as the OHL Lead Designer as appointed by the Design Delivery Manager. Responsible for delivery of the tender deliverables and project''s OHL scope of works and coordination of the relevant resources. - Act as the Design Engineer as appointed by the Design Delivery Manager and the project''s Lead Designer. - Produces the project''s OHL deliverables in coordination with the relevant resources. - Identify and ensure design compliance with all relevant standards, legislation, Customer requirements and contract specifications throughout the project lifecycle. - Review tender or contract documentation and establish the OHL scope of works. - Apply best practices and lessons learned on all tenders and designs. - Ensure all required designs, models and drawings have an adequate level of review, c
