Job Title: Telehandler Operator
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 8 weeks initially
Location: Millerhill (EH21)
Salary: £18 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am-4:30pm


Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a telehandler up to 9 metres, including the use of forks and bucket attachments, in accordance with site requirements
• Carry out daily checks and basic maintenance of the telehandler, reporting defects immediately
• Load, move, and place materials as directed, supporting site productivity and logistics
• Comply fully with site health & safety procedures, ensuring safe operation around personnel and plant.
• Sort food waste to remove contamination before it enters the processing system.
• Carry out general cleaning tasks across the site, including pressure washing when needed.

Key Skills:

• Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler licence (appropriate category for machine size and attachments)
• Proven experience operating a telehandler on construction or industrial sites
• Competence using attachments, including forks and buckets
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to completing tasks
• Able to work well with others and support the wider team
• Open to taking on a variety of duties as required by the manager
• Able to follow instructions and report issues clearly
