Team Leader - Production (Saint-Gobain PAM, Ilkeston)

Shifts work: Days (07:00-15:30), PM (13:30-22:00), Nights (22:30-07:00)

Are you an experienced Team Leader who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced manufacturing environment? Saint-Gobain PAM in Ilkeston is looking for a driven, people-focused Team Leader to oversee production in our FPP (Flange Pipe Plant) - where we turn high-quality cast iron ductile pipes into critical components for water and infrastructure networks.

What you''ll do

As a key part of the operations team, you''ll lead a team of up to 20 Production Operatives, ensuring safety, quality, and performance standards are met across three active production lines.

Your day will start with ensuring deployment of staff in key areas are achieved, ensuring everyone has the correct PPE & RPE, knows their targets, and understands the plan for the shift. You''ll be the go-to person for troubleshooting, coaching, and maintaining high standards of Safety and efficiency across the plant.

You''ll also:

• Manage day-to-day production activities to meet targets and customer expectations
• Lead and motivate a small, skilled team to deliver top-quality results on-time in-full
• Carry out coaching & performance reviews to support your team''s development
• Maintain accurate production records ensuring compliance to Quality standards
• Support continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives

What we''re looking for

• Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices
• Excellent planning and organisational skills - this plant runs on skill and teamwork, not automation, knowledge of SAP system would be advantageous.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and keep production running smoothly
• A background in CI (continuous improvement), or operational management would be an advantage
• Confidence working with manual systems and tracking production without automation
