The company designs and builds high-precision automated production equipment used in a variety of sectors, including industrial manufacturing and bespoke automation solutions.This role is ideal for someone who wants to take ownership of projects, work closely with production teams, and be involved hands-on during build and commissioning to gain deeper insights into the machines.Key ResponsibilitiesLead mechanical design activities on assigned projectsProduce and maintain 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and assembliesImplement engineering changes during build and commissioningMaintain accurate BOMs, drawing registers, and project documentationLead internal design review meetingsSupport customer-facing technical discussions and design reviewsEnsure all parts and assemblies are correctly loaded and maintained in the MRP systemAssist with CE compliance, machinery risk assessments, and technical documentationMentor junior designers and support development of CAD/drafting skillsSupport production, spares, and servicing enquiriesAbout YouProven experience as a Mechanical Design EngineerStrong 3D CAD skills (SolidWorks, Inventor, or similar)Experience with special purpose machinery, automation systems, or bespoke production equipmentKnowledge of BOM management, MRP systems, and engineering change controlUnderstanding of CE compliance and machinery ..... full job details .....
