Lead Finance Business Partner - CIDO and Change

Overview
Lead Finance Business Partner – CIDO (Chief Information and Digital Office) and Change is a 12-month fixed-term contract to drive reporting on management costs for Group investment portfolios, change initiatives and CIDO BAU costs.Reporting to the Head of Cost Management, the role leads a team of professionals to understand delivery plans and progress across all initiatives, ensuring robust and transparent reporting and challenging forecast spend and value delivered.Responsibilities
Deliver and communicate forward-looking cost projections up to Exco-level and lead the production of cost forecasts, contributing to corporate plans.Provide expert financial insight and guidance to executive management on cost and investment matters; produce timely and accurate management information for executive committees.Review business cases and conduct financial evaluations of new projects, initiatives, and investments; assess feasibility, ROI and risks.Use industry knowledge to proactively identify opportunities and risks for the directorate or the Society.Qualifications
An accounting qualification with significant post-qualification experience or substantial practical experience gained in industry.Experience in managing investment portfolios, projects or programmes.Experience in a business partnering role within financial services.Good commercial acumen and resilience.Influencing skills with the ability to support and challenge at all levels.Credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to network to obtain information from a range of sources.Desirable: experience working on commercial or financial analysis.Benefits
