Maths Teaching Assistant - Slough

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Slough who are seeking a dedicated Maths Teaching Assistant to join their team for a September 2026 start. The Role
You will work closely with the maths department and wider support team to assist students across the classroom. You will help reinforce mathematical concepts, support lesson activities, and provide additional guidance to students who may need extra support. This is a full-time role working 5 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and effective maths lessons
* Working with small groups and individual students to reinforce mathematical understanding
* Assisting with classroom behaviour management and maintaining a positive learning environment
* Supporting students preparing for GCSE Mathematics examinations
* Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning materials
* Encouraging student confidence, participation and independence in learning

Requirements:
* Previous UK-based secondary school experience is essential and candidates without this will not be considered
* Experience supporting young people in a classroom setting
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive, patient and supportive approach
* A genuine passion for supporting students'' learning and achievement in mathematics
