Straight Forward Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of their client for Production Operatives to work within the chilled production area of a pet food manufacturing facility.You will be responsible for handling frozen and chilled raw meat products in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards.Key duties include: Loading frozen blocks of raw meat into industrial grinders and processing equipment.Handling and moving chilled and frozen raw materials safely using manual handling techniques or approved equipment.Weighing and adding ingredients to production mixers following production specifications.Monitoring production processes and ensuring products are prepared to the required quality standards.Maintaining cleanliness of the work area and equipment throughout the shift in line with hygiene and food safety procedures.Following Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, and HACCP procedures at all times.Working in a temperature-controlled chilled environment for the duration of the shift.Assisting with general production duties as required to support the manufacturing process. Working Environment Temperature-controlled chill area (typically 2 8 C).Regular handling of frozen raw meat products.Physically demanding role involving lifting, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.Appropriate PPE will be provided and must be worn at all times.
