Science Technician Annual Salary: from £13.39 per hourLocation: Near Brighton and HoveJob Type: Temporary, Full-time (26th February to Easter initially) We are seeking a dedicated Science Technician to support our dynamic science department across Year 7 to Year 13 classes. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in science and a passion for education. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare materials and equipment for science experiments and demonstrations.Assist in the maintenance and organisation of science laboratories.Ensure that all safety protocols are followed during lab activities.Support teachers during lessons by setting up equipment and helping manage classroom activities.Manage the stock of science supplies and coordinate with suppliers for timely delivery of necessary materials.Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety procedures in the science department. Required Skills and Qualifications: Must hold a Science degree or experience working in labs.Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.Strong organisational and communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a laboratory setting.
