Veritas Education are currently working in partnership with a range of secondary schools across Kirklees to recruit committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting young people in a secondary school setting and making a positive impact on pupils'' academic progress and wellbeing.The Role:As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessonsWork with individuals or small groups to help pupils access the curriculumProvide targeted support for students with SEND, SEMH, or additional learning needsAssist with classroom behaviour management in line with school policiesHelp create a safe, supportive and positive learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate Will:Have experience working with children or young people aged 11-16 (school-based experience desirable)Be patient, reliable and confident in supporting behaviour and learningHave strong communication and interpersonal skillsBe able to work collaboratively with teaching staff and pastoral teamsHold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the Update ServiceDesirable (but not essential):Previous experience in a secondary school settingKnowledge of SEND or behaviour support strategiesRelevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Supporting Teaching and Learning)What Veritas Education Offer:Competitive daily rates of payFlexible work to suit your availabilityOngoin
