£60k per annumWe are seeking a motivated Cyber Security Analyst R2 to join our client''s security team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing security incidents, performing vulnerability assessments, and implementing security measures to protect the organization’s systems and data. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Monitor network and system activities for suspicious behavior and potential security breachesConduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify security weaknessesRespond to security incidents and provide detailed analysis and reporting on findingsCollaborate with IT and other departments to implement effective security controls and measuresStay updated on the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends to proactively address potential risksAssist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and best practicesProvide training and awareness programs to employees on security best practices and compliance requirementsRequired Skills:Strong understanding of information security principles, frameworks, and best practicesExperience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, etc.) and incident responseFamiliarity with network protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologiesKnowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and techniques (e.g., Nessus, Qualys)Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation of tasksStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teamsRequirements

Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related fieldA minimum of 2 years of experience in a cyber security analyst role or equivalentRelevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP) are highly desirableExperience working in a regulated environment (GDPR, PCI-DSS, etc.) is a plusAbility to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environmentBenefits
