Overview

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. Starting in January 2026, this full-time role offers the chance to make a significant impact by supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will be an essential part of the team, delivering lessons and providing vital classroom support in the absence of the class teacher.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  

  Deliver pre-prepared lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2, depending on school requirements

• 
  

  Support individual pupils and small groups to ensure curriculum access and progress

• 
  

  Collaborate closely with class teachers and the SENCO to adapt learning activities to meet diverse needs

• 
  

  Maintain a positive and nurturing classroom environment that encourages good behaviour

• 
  

  Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning space for all students

Candidate Profile

• 
  

  HLTA qualification or equivalent substantial classroom experience

• 
  

  Experience working effectively in a primary school setting

• 
  

  Strong classroom management skills and adaptability

  Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
