Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and diagnosing a wide range of heavy goods vehicles, including lorries and specialised equipment. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HGVs, including lorries, excavators, and forklifts. Diagnose faults using schematics and electrical diagrams, then carry out repairs using appropriate tools. Perform fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly tasks as required for vehicle repairs or modifications. Repair or replace faulty components such as brakes, engines, transmissions, and electrical systems. Utilise hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialised machinery to complete repairs efficiently. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed. Assist with equipment repair and maintenance tasks across various machinery used within the organisation. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service to internal teams or external clients when necessary.
