Transaction Services - Due Diligence - Manager

The role provides an opportunity to join the Due Diligence (Transaction Services) business unit in Manchester. As a Transaction Services Manager OR Associate Director, you will be leading the financial due diligence process, delivering high-quality reports to a range of corporate, private equity, and banking clients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own career and work directly with the Leadership team.The team culture promotes open communication with the UK partner group, with a strong focus on teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and development opportunities. The TS national team has a strong record of talent development and career progression, which can be fast-tracked based on performance.The role involves leading due diligence assignments (coordinating with tax and other specialists), expanding your external client portfolio and network of relationships. You will also have the opportunity to work as part of the National TS team while maintaining flexibility for personal circumstances. The team works on cross-border transactions, providing opportunities to lead international deals alongside global clients and advisers.Role and Responsibilities
Develop your own client portfolio and relationships.Work directly with local and national partners.Participate in national resourcing and project delivery meetings.Lead proposals, including scope and fee negotiations.Manage due diligence assignments and oversee specialist input.Coach and train teams to deliver insightful analysis and reports.Engage with clients and communicate issues promptly.Deliver presentations to clients and stakeholders.Understand and respond to client needs.Monitor project budgets and recover unbilled time.Build strong relationships with clients and intermediaries.Support business development initiatives locally and nationally.Produce high-quality work in line with firm policies and regulatory requirements.Qualifications and experience required include:ACA qualification (or equivalent).Financial due diligence experience across various transaction types.Track record of managing external relationships and securing project work.Experience in supporting proposals and pitches.Strong project management, analytical, and reporting skills.Excellent communication skills.Desire to develop self and others.Experience in developing initiatives and methodologies.Ability to identify issues through sound analysis and commercial acumen.Commitment to continuous learning and expertise enhancement.The Deals and Financing team is a rapidly growing, global group involved in large international projects, MandA transactions, forensic investigations, business valuations, restructuring, and creditor advisory services.
