The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you''ll contribute to the design, development, testing, and delivery of sophisticated software solutions supporting complex operational systems. Working within a collaborative engineering environment, you''ll help drive technical excellence while supporting project delivery and continuous product evolution.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation, and testing of software solutions
• Guide and mentor Software Engineers across the development lifecycle
• Assist with planning, estimation, and project reporting activities
• Engage with customers and end users to support ongoing programme development and capability evolution

What We''re Looking For

• Strong software engineering background with experience delivering robust solutions within large-scale, multi-layered distributed systems in a defence environment
• Experience supporting software development strategies and technical delivery
• Good understanding of the complete software development lifecycle
• Knowledge of software delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
• Knowledge of designing safety-critical code for platforms, control systems, power plant management etc.
