SF Recruitment are recruiting for a Finance and Operations Manager for a well-established, growing service-based business based in Birmingham. This is a broad and hands-on opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working across both finance and operations and wants to play a key role in shaping how a business operates. Working closely with the Managing Director, you will act as a key number two within the business, helping to bring greater structure, visibility and efficiency across the organisation. The role will have a strong focus on improving processes, strengthening working capital and ensuring the finance function properly supports the wider operation. A key part of the position will be reviewing and improving the billing and invoicing process, identifying inefficiencies and putting robust processes in place to improve cash collection and working capital. You will also work closely with operational teams, bridging the gap between finance and the day-to-day running of the business. This would suit someone who combines strong financial understanding with commercial awareness and a genuine interest in how a business operates. You will need to be comfortable identifying problems, finding practical solutions and then taking ownership of implementing them.
