Our client, a fast-paced same-day courier business based near Heathrow, is seeking an experienced and proactive transport planner who has route planning experience for UK and EU to join their operations team.Hours 06.30am - 15.30pm Monday - Friday This is a hands-on role suited to someone highly organised, detail-oriented and calm under pressure, with previous experience in the courier, transport, logistics or freight sector.Key ResponsibilitiesLiaise with clients, drivers and suppliers via phone and emailTake bookings, prepare quotes and allocate jobs to driversPlan routes and allocate vehicles based on weights and dimensionsRoute planning for EU / UKUpdate systems with job status, costs and PODsEnsure smooth service delivery through clear communication and attention to detailCarry out general admin and occasional basic warehouse dutiesParticipate in an out-of-hours call rotaOccasional driving duties as requiredRequirementsMinimum 2 years'' experience in courier / transport / logistics / freight (operations or driver background considered)Experience working in a fast-paced environmentConfident using IT systems and willing to learn new softwareFull UK driving license (max 6 points, no bans)5-year checkable work historyUK resident for the past 5 yearsDBS check requiredRight to work in the UK
