ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER / SERVICE ENGINEER

Great Barr  – Permanent Job Role 

Monday – Thursday 8.00am  – 4.30pm Friday 8.00am – 1.00pm – 37hours a week

£35,000 - £40,000 Per Annum depending on experience

We are looking for a motivated Level 3 electrical / Electrotechnical Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturing company in Great Barr . You will be Reporting directly to the  Maintenance Manager.You will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within the company. The role will be conducting and carrying out electrical repairs and support on breakdowns . You will be offering essential maintenance to equipment and the facilities infrastructure with emphasis on the electrical elements. This position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Providing both Reactive & Planned & Preventative Maintenance of industrial / Maintenance electrics
• Working on a variety of machinery including pneumatic and hydraulic Machines etc.
• Ensuring all equipment & machines on site are safe and fit for purpose
• Conducting electrical testing and repairs to breakdown of any machinery or equipment, pneumatics ,compressed air control panels and motors 
• Fault Finding both Electrical & Mechanical
• Ensure adherence to all legal and safety requirements

Knowledge & Competencies

• Knowledge on Mechanical , pneumatics and hydraulic Machines  
• Planned preventative maintenance scheduling
• Leadership and man management skills
• Competent problem solving skills
• High attention to detail and decision making
• Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

Skills and Qualifications Required

• 2-3 years Maintenance Experience – Electrical Biased
• HND/ BTEC Qualification / Engineering Degree /Electrical Qualificatios
• Have a current BS7671 18th edition knowledge and competence under the Electricity at work regulations

• Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
• Wiring regulations
• High level of Technical competency
• Fault Finding ability both Electrical and Mechanical
• Experience in manufacturing environment preferred
