Conventional machinist/Mechanical Fitter - £19.00 £21.00 per hour plus overtime - Liverpool
Due to further expansion - this growing business who specialise in the repair of rotating equipment including electric motors, pumps and gearboxes is seeking an experienced Conventional Turner/Machinist. 
You will be responsible for: -

• Conventional turning, boring and milling using manual machinery.
• Taking pumps, fans, and gearboxes, repairing them and put them back together as well as equipment
• The use of conventional machines and other machines to manufacturer new parts
• Working on small batch parts and taking responsibility of measuring worn or broken parts
• Manual borer work
• Producing new parts taking into consideration bearing tolerances and machine threats
• General bench fitting duties may be some of your responsibility.
• On call work - one in four
• General repair of rotating machines, electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be ideal.

• An experienced manual/conventional machinist/turner (NOT CNC)
• General mechanical fitter experience
• Must be available to be on call one week a month which will involve working nights (4.30 pm to 1 am) which will give you time and a third pay and double time pay for weekends and working after 1 am
• Overtime available subject to workload
• Experience of repairing rotating machines, electric motors, pumps & gearboxes would be ideal
• Sound Engineering knowledge and a positive attitude
• Flexibility, as overtime required often at short notice.
