SR2 are supporting a large central government data modernisation programme seeking two Software Engineers/DevOps Engineers to enhance and secure a cloud-based data platform built on AWS. The work spans an Amazon Data Warehouse environment and a Fast Data Pipeline ingesting and transforming data from multiple government and third-party sources.Key Responsibilities:Catalogue and remediate high-priority vulnerabilities across application, infrastructure, and pipeline layers.Enhance CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and monitoring across AWS and Kubernetes.Build automation around data ingestion, transformation, and feed management.Improve operational resilience and graceful failure handling across services.Refine observability and alerting (eg K9) to detect and respond to system degradation.Desirable Skills:Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormationFamiliarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or AWS Step FunctionsUnderstanding of containerisation using DockerExperience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
