This role supports the delivery of the organisation''s Procurement Strategy and Annual Procurement Plan, managing both planned and ad-hoc sourcing activity. You''ll act as a key procurement contact for stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring value, compliance and strong supplier performance.Client DetailsMy client is a large, regulated utilities business responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of essential energy infrastructure across Wales and the South West of England.The organisation plays a vital role in serving local communities, focusing on safety, reliability and long-term resilience, while investing significantly in sustainability and the transition towards a carbon-free energy future.DescriptionSupport and manage sourcing events aligned to the Annual Procurement Plan and ad-hoc business requirementsAct as the first point of contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders on sourcing and contract queriesSupport contract management activities to maximise value and manage supplier performanceMaintain the Approved Vendor List (AVL) ensuring supplier competence and accreditationPromote and ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures and governanceProvide guidance and support to stakeholders on procurement systems and initiatives (e.g. SRM tools)Assist in the development and implementation of new procurement policies and processesProfileDemonstrable procurement experience and/or MCIPS qualification with practical, end-to-end tendering experience
