Fawkes & Reece are partnering with a well-established construction business to recruit an experienced Site Manager for their Aftercare Team. This role focuses on the final stages of project delivery, ensuring a smooth transition from completion through handover and the defects liability period.

You will play a key role in maintaining quality standards, resolving defects, and supporting client satisfaction across multiple projects in London.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the aftercare process from pre-handover through the defects liability period
• Monitor and resolve defects, including achieving Making Good Defects (MGD) sign-off
• Carry out site inspections across multiple projects
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely issue resolution
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems
• Produce regular progress reports
• Manage aftercare-related budgets
• Support handover and close-out, including facilities management coordination
• Conduct audits and ensure contractual compliance

Stakeholder Management

• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
• Liaise with project and contract managers to resolve defects and liability issues
• Act as the main point of contact for aftercare queries and updates
• Work both independently and as part of a wider team

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or in Aftercare / Defects Management
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and contracts
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused
• M&E knowledge (desirable)
• Comfortable using digital reporting systems
