We are seeking an experienced Senior Controls Engineer to join a growing automation engineering team delivering complex industrial automation and material handling projects across a variety of industries. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the controls scope from project handover through software development, testing, commissioning, customer acceptance and final handover.The successful candidate will combine strong Siemens PLC programming experience with hands-on commissioning expertise and a passion for delivering high-quality automation solutions in fast-paced industrial environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Delivery and OwnershipTake ownership of the controls scope following receipt of approved electrical drawings, system architecture and Functional Design Specifications (FDS).Review technical documentation and identify any gaps, risks or conflicting requirements.Plan and manage controls engineering activities to achieve project milestones.Work closely with project managers, electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, robotics specialists and wider project teams to ensure successful system integration.Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding project progress, issues and solutions.PLC and HMI Software DevelopmentDevelop, modify and maintain PLC software using Siemens TIA Portal.Program control systems using Structured Text (SCL) and Ladder Logic.Develop intuitive HMI applications with clear diagnostics, alarm handling and fault ..... full job details .....
