Aspire People are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established specialist SEN school in Shrewsbury, who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Support / Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term position.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and nurturing environment, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. The role will involve a combination of 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs, as well as general classroom assistance.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 support to pupils with a range of special educational needs
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and accessible lessons
- Support pupils social, emotional, and behavioural development
- Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment
- Support with personal care where required

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working with children with SEN (school or similar setting)
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to build effective relationships with pupils and staff
- A proactive, flexible, and committed approach
