Major Plc seeks a Senior Corporate Tax Manager. This in-house tax function is looking for an exceptional tax professional to take the lead on all aspects of direct tax compliance across a diverse and growing portfolio of entities and jurisdictions. As Senior Manager – Direct Taxes, you’ll be at the forefront of navigating UK and international tax complexities, ensuring compliance, driving process improvements, and shaping strategic tax initiatives. This role reports directly to the Head of Tax and will manage a team of three direct tax specialists.Responsibilities

Lead compliance for all statutory tax returns and filings, including Corporate Tax, WHT returns, Transfer Pricing documentation, CbC reporting and Pillar 2.Oversee tax accounting, ensuring accurate provisions and disclosures in line with accounting standards.Strengthen our tax framework, implementing robust internal controls and driving process improvements.Deliver strategic advisory support on acquisitions, disposals, restructurings, entity eliminations, and other corporate transactions.Qualifications

This role would suit a CTA, ACA or ICAS qualified with experience of large group corporate tax and managing teams. It is likely you will already have experience working in-house but would consider an Associate Director from a large accountancy firm. This role is UK based and can be worked hybrid from Manchester, London or Peterborough or remote with travel to the offices.
