About the role The Assistant Estimator will support the estimating team in pricing commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission. Key responsibilities include: Assisting with the preparation of accurate cost estimates, take-offs and tender documentation. Reviewing drawings, specifications and client requirements to understand project scope. Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations and ensure accurate pricing. Analysing subcontractor returns and preparing comparison sheets. Helping to identify value-engineering opportunities and potential risks within tender proposals. Supporting senior estimators with bid preparation, tender queries and handover packs. Maintaining organised records, cost databases and pricing libraries to support future tenders.
