Overview

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager based in the East Midlands or Northampton area for a permanent role with a well-established, privately owned regional construction company. The role involves managing contracts across education, healthcare, commercial, and residential projects, covering both new build and refurbishment works. Typical project values range from £500,000 to £8 million, with responsibility for overseeing 2 to 3 projects simultaneously. Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum.Responsibilities

Manage contracts across a diverse portfolio (education, healthcare, commercial, residential) including both new build and refurbishment works.Oversee contracts within various frameworks, ideally with experience on SCAPE or similar frameworks in the East Midlands.Ensure contract compliance, manage risk, and oversee commercial performance.Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with project teams to deliver on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.Handle negotiations effectively and demonstrate strong commercial acumen.Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in contract management within construction.Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.Knowledge of framework agreements, ideally SCAPE or similar.Strong commercial and financial management skills.Excellent negotiation and communication skills.Risk management and dispute resolution expertise.Understanding of new build and refurbishment project delivery.Stakeholder and client relationship management.Knowledge of construction procurement and contract law.Strong organisational and leadership abilities.Software and Tools

Common contract management and project tracking software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Certifications and Standards

Relevant construction or contract management qualifications preferred.Familiarity with NEC, JCT, or other standard construction contracts.Health and Safety awareness; SMSTS.Job Details
