The role holder will be part of the Speak Out team and will be responsible for leading and managing some of the confidential whistleblowing investigations.
The role requires:
Solid investigative skills and an understanding of how to construct and perform investigations.
An ability to handle complex matters ensuring whistleblowing regulations are adhered to at all times.
Ability to build and maintain productive relationships across all levels of the company, as well as being able to effectively prioritise and manage several tasks at the same time.
Purpose statements:
As a Whistleblowing Investigator your main responsibilities will be:
Assist with confidential investigations including:
Attend and where required conduct interviews and fact findings meetings
Create interview plans and Terms of Reference
Produce comprehensive interview notes
Produce thorough and concise investigative reports
Provide on-going/regular updates to Reporters etc
Work with key stakeholders to provide confidential and appropriate feedback
Knowledge statements:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including confidence in interactions with colleagues at all levels
Good organisational/time management skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise and adapt well to change in a fast-paced, demanding environment in order to deliver team objectives
Robust written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence both at all levels of the organisation and externally, engaging a wide range of stakeholders, in particular senior management
Credible and persuasive in ensuring the needs of our complex business are fully understood, resolve conflict and deliver tough messages
Excellent analytical skills with an ability to interpret complex data
The ability to relate to colleagues both inside and outside MandG
Ability to present careful, balanced and objective findings
IT literate
Strong report writing skills with a keen eye for detail
Experience statements :
Previous experience in a whistleblowing related role and/or an investigations background is preferable
A capable individual with the relevant applicable skillset and attributes to enable them to operate both independently and as part of the team
Experience operating in a risk and controls related and/or project environment would be an advantage
Ability to proactively manage, organise and prioritise workloads in a fast-paced / demanding environment with proven problem solving skills
Excellent analytical skills
Qualifications:
University degree (or equivalent) and or relevant professional experience
Accountable for providing a quality service or product to customers and stakeholders, using skills/experience built through significant practical experience or training;
Works within established frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them to solve a range of problems;
Delivers outputs that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them ;
Makes suggestions for improvements to the work of the team, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situation.
