We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a friendly legal team in York city centre on a temporary basis until Christmas.You will provide secretarial and administrative support to a Solicitor and Conveyancing Executive, with a particular focus on residential conveyancing but some work in family law and litigation.Essential experienceYou must have:Previous Legal Secretary or similar legal support experienceExperience using LEAPExperience using HMCTS systemsStrong audio typing/dictation skillsGood IT and general administration skillsThe ability to work independently and manage your own workloadResidential conveyancing experience is preferred, and wider experience within a high street solicitors'' practice would be an advantage.Day-to-day duties:Audio typing and completing dictationsProviding secretarial support to fee earnersTaking telephone messages and responding to general enquiriesProviding updates to clients and estate agentsMeeting and greeting clients when requiredCommunicating with solicitors and other third partiesGeneral legal administrationHandling confidential client information professionallyYou will need to be organised, approachable and confident communicating by telephone, email and face-to-face.If you have LEAP, HMCTS and audio dictation experience and are available for temporary work in York, apply today.
