Senior Quantity Surveyor - Tier 1 Contractor - Immediate Start - Highways - Long Term Freelance Your new company You''ll be joining a Tier 1 contractor operating within the highways and civils sector. They deliver a wide range of projects nationally with consistent pipelines of work and strong opportunities for long term progression. Due to increased regional workload, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join on a long term temporary basis.Your new role As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will support highways projects across Nottingham and the surrounding areas. You will work predominantly on site (4 days per week) and will oversee the commercial delivery of multiple smaller schemes. Key responsibilities include managing large subcontract packages, assisting with forecasting, undertaking take offs where required, and managing compensation events under NEC contracts. Due to the nature of the schemes, you will also be involved across the full breadth of QS duties, ensuring strong commercial governance from start to finish.What you''ll need to succeed Proven experience working for a Tier 1 contractorStrong Senior Quantity Surveying background within highways or civilsExperience managing large subcontract packagesAbility to assist with forecastingTake off experience would be beneficial.Clear and practical understanding of compensation event managementBroad experience across the full range of QS activities on smaller schemesSolid working knowledge of N
