Mechanical Design Engineer
Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer My client is a defence and security manufacturer that designs, makes and integrates precision electro-optical and support equipment such as surveillance, target acquisition systems and rugged mounts for military and aerospace customers worldwide. They are looking to grow the team with a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer. Responsibilities As a member of the mechanical design team this role will take responsibility for supporting the design of new product designs under the supervision of the Mechanical Team Leader. To create and update 3D CAD models, assemblies and drawings using SolidWorks in line with BS8888 and company practice and to generate accurate bills of materials on the companys manufacturing system. To take responsibility for delivering allocated projects, making sure they are running to schedule, concessions are assessed and approved/rejected. To work closely with the other engineering team members on projects and activities. To produce design-related documentation, including, specifications, manuals, assembly instructions, illustrations, costings and test procedures. Also, to check and approve all documentation as required. Responsible for ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with the integrated management system Requirements A minimum of a 2:1 in Mechanical Engineering or similar SolidWorks British with no dual citizenship Details Hybrid role based in Kent Salary £30,000 Company profit share 9 day fortnight
