Quality Engineer - Automotive Assembly - to 50kWe are recruiting a Quality Engineer - Automotive Assembly to support the launch of a new automotive assembly operation. This role offers a unique opportunity to embed quality into processes from day one, working in a fast-paced and evolving manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish and maintain quality control processes in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001Conduct audits and inspections of assembly operationsMonitor quality KPIs including scrap, defects, and customer complaintsLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)Support new product launches and engineering changes (APQP)Maintain quality documentation (Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP)Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal teams on quality issuesTrain production staff on quality standards and best practicesRequirementsDegree in Mechanical, Automotive, Manufacturing Engineering, or similarMinimum 3 years'' experience in automotive quality engineeringStrong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC)Knowledge of VDA 6.3 / VDA 6.5 auditing standardsStrong problem-solving and communication skillsDesirableASQ CQE and/or Six Sigma Green BeltSupplier quality or automotive assembly experienceWR Engineering are the recruitment partner for engineering, manufacturing and technical sales jobs.
