About Us Rheinmetall Weapons and Ammunition UK (RWM UK) is part of the defence engineering company Rheinmetall AG based in Germany. We design, manufacture and support military large-calibre weapon systems used by the British Army and international customers. About the Role RWM UK is now starting a new production site in Telford and we are recruiting for Maintenance Specialist (Mechatronics) who will be responsible for the maintenance of machines and equipment for the production of large-calibre weapon systems. Important: A training may take place at the main plant in Unterlüß (Germany), while for other work steps, intensive on-site training will be provided. Position Responsibilities: Carrying out routine and emergency repairs to machines and further equipment Implementation of new installations, conversions and adaptations of hardware and software Ensuring the operational readiness of work equipment and workplaces Inspection, maintenance and repair of operating equipment Planning and implementation of preventive maintenance Maintain detailed logs and reports of all maintenance work performed Give input for continuous improvement of related processes, worksteps, tools, etc. to improve overall performance Compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace and during the implementation of repair and maintenance measures Support and work closely with production, production planning, tool department and external contractors to fix issues with machines and equ
