A nationally established, entrepreneurial business is looking to appoint a Tax and Compliance Manager to play a key role in developing its in-house tax function. You''ll have the opportunity to take ownership of a broad range of tax activities, work closely with senior finance colleagues and operational stakeholders, and help shape processes across a sizeable, multi site organisation. This is a role for someone who enjoys the technical detail but also wants to understand the bigger picture. Working alongside external professional advisers, you''ll bring more day-to-day tax responsibility in-house, strengthen compliance and controls, and identify opportunities to make the function more efficient. You''ll have the scope to develop your expertise, develop relationships across the business and see the direct impact of your work. The role offers a varied remit across indirect and direct tax, combining hands-on responsibility with opportunities to influence processes and support the wider business. Duties include: Taking full ownership of day-to-day tax compliance, ensuring VAT, CIS and other tax returns are accurate, submitted on time and any issues resolved. Leading the corporation tax process, working with external advisers and the finance team to ensure the business meets its obligations.
