The role requires leading the strategy, growth and execution of JD Sport’s YouTube and social channels to be the go-to destination for youths in the sports lifestyle sector.Responsibilities
Define and execute YouTube and social strategy aligned with brand marketing and e-commerce goals.Ensure growth and improvement of social media channels across JD Sports.Strategize and grow JD Sports brand YouTube channel, expanding its footprint and relevance in youth culture, aligned to the overall brand strategy.Lead continual development and training in the social and YouTube sector for personal development and education of the wider business.Report week-on-week trends and present weekly, monthly and quarterly updates.Maintain and enhance online conversations of the highest quality.Formulate concepts behind engaging content across social media and YouTube.Create and implement a full paid social media strategy aligned with the internal performance team and external partners.Cultivate strategies and campaigns that support brand awareness and affinity.Ensure social media and YouTube are central to JD Sports activations with integrated strategies.Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and departments to ensure messaging is promoted effectively.Grow new channels or improve existing channels.Use monitoring tools to gain consumer insights, target influencers and report success.Keep the wider business updated on progress of social media and YouTube and present regular updates.Monitor advances in social media and YouTube technology and share findings with the wider business to stay at the forefront of new advances.Skills/Experience/Knowledge
Strong social media and YouTube experience.Experience leading organic growth and paid social and YouTube campaigns.Track record leading on brand digital strategy for a large organisation.Ability to grow and develop brand social and YouTube accounts in terms of engagement and revenue using data analysis.Exceptional functional competence and confidence.Experience with contract negotiations and onboarding of new platforms at scale.Capable of delivering full social media and YouTube campaigns from concept to evaluation.Adaptable to changing environments and tactics.Formulation of social media strategies to support marketing campaigns.Seniority level
