APPOINTMENT OF FULL-TIME TEACHER OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION MATERNITY COVER INFORMATION ABOUT THE POST The Board of Governors of Hunterhouse College invites applications for the position of full-time, Teacher of Physical Education, to commence in January 2027. This post is to provide maternity leave cover and is expected to span the Spring and Summer Terms of the 2026/27 academic year, with the potential for extension beyond this period. Salary: Main Scale. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Essential Criteria An Honours degree in a subject that the appointments panel considers appropriate for the post (minimum classification 2.2). Qualified teacher status as recognised by the Department of Education (NI) as of August 2026. Experience in a post-primary school teaching Physical Education (teaching practice accepted). Desirable Criteria An Honours degree in a subject that the appointments panel considers appropriate for the post (minimum classification 2.1). Experience in a post-primary school teaching Health and Social Care to A Level (teaching practice accepted). Willingness to contribute to the school''s extra-curricular programme including sporting fixtures.
