Senior Design Manager - Freelance - YorkshireCurrently partnered with a key client who requires a Design Manager to work on an upcoming project.This is a three-month position with the potential for extension, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the design process and work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams.Responsibilities:Lead and manage the design process, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standardsCoordinate multidisciplinary teams and integrate design solutionsReview and approve design drawings, specifications, and documentationMonitor design risks, costs, and programme impacts, providing regular updates to senior managementFacilitate design reviews, workshops, and coordination meetingsSupport procurement and tender processes as requiredEnsure smooth handover of design information to construction and operational teamsRequirements:Proven experience as a Design Manager at a Tier 1 Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalentStrong knowledge of design standards, building regulations, and construction processesExcellent leadership, organisational, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines
