Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Leicester, UK (international travel required)We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This role offers exposure to full-cycle machinery design, research and development, and international customer interaction. Graduates through to senior engineers are encouraged to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesLead top-level design of machinery to meet customer specificationsProduce detailed and assembly drawingsSupport RandD activities and generate design calculationsCollaborate with controls and software engineersProvide technical support to the sales team, including customer visits in the UK and overseasWork closely with purchasing and production teams to meet budgets and schedulesLiaise with suppliers and contribute to specification writing, manuals, BOMs and CE/Health and Safety documentationEnsure engineering quality standards are maintainedProject management experience beneficialExperience and QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering (BSc/BEng/MSc) or equivalent experienceProficient in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorksBroad engineering background in special-purpose or bespoke machineryExperience with MRP systems preferredPackageSalary: 30,000 (junior) to 65,000 (senior)Hours: 37.5 per week, 9am-5pmPension scheme included25 days holiday plus bank holidaysTraining and career progression availableIf youre interested in this role please send your CV to kathryn.van- for a confidential conversation regarding the role
