Astute Recruitment are working with a well-established business based in Mansfield who are looking to recruit an organised and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team on a permanent basis.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous purchase ledger experience who enjoys working in a busy finance environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records.

The Role:

Working as part of the finance team, your responsibilities will include:

• Scanning and processing incoming purchase invoices and delivery tickets accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Registering purchase invoices onto the system, ensuring all information is correctly recorded.
• Matching invoices against delivery tickets and purchase orders, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Forwarding unmatched invoices for internal approval and following up where necessary.
• Carrying out regular supplier statement reconciliations to ensure all invoices and credit notes are accounted for.
• Handling purchase ledger queries via email and telephone, liaising with suppliers and internal departments.
• Maintaining accurate and organised filing systems for invoices, delivery tickets and supplier statements.

About You:

We are looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience working within a purchase ledger or similar finance role.
• Good IT and numeracy skills, with strong Microsoft Office experience, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Excellent organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• The ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to work independently, manage their own workload and meet deadlines.
• A flexible approach and willingness to support the wider finance team as priorities change.
• Experience working within a busy, fast-paced environment.
