We have been assigned by one of the UK''s more prestigious NHS Trusts to assist in recruiting a

Consultant in General Radiology

on either a

Substantive

or

NHS Fixed Term basis

for 12 months to join their successful Radiology department.

Our client is a high-performing NHS trust with a progressive and rapidly developing radiology department. The department is located on the ground floor of the hospital, with most modalities in the main department, an MR unit nearby, and a mobile unit in the car park. Radiologists have their own offices, either shared or individual, each equipped with a dual-screen reporting workstation.

The department is a founding member of the Yorkshire Imaging Collaborative and actively shapes radiology within the region. The appointee will have access to a home reporting station and opportunities for insourcing across Yorkshire, as well as teaching and training roles. The department trains radiology trainees from the Leeds/West Yorkshire scheme, offering general and specialty rotations.

We are seeking a candidate confident in spinal imaging and intervention. Interests in non-vascular interventional, paediatric, gynaecology, GI, or cross-sectional imaging are advantageous. The role involves joint responsibility for radiological services, weekend reporting, supervision, training junior staff, contributing to education, participating in recruitment, and involvement in resource management, clinical governance, and audits.
