Their Bedford site has state-of-the-art analytical facilities for environmental testing, capable of detecting extremely low levels of pollutants. They are hiring a Senior GC-MS Analytical Chemist to join their team. You will provide clients with effective solutions to stay in compliance with environmental quality standards (EQS) and maximum residue limits (MRLs). Responsibilities Daily operation of single and triple quadrupole GC-MS and other analytical instruments. Supervise a team of GC analysts and extractors, ensuring correct preparation of samples for analysis. Develop and validate new methods for GC-MS and other analytical tools. Carry out maintenance and troubleshooting of analytical instruments and methods as needed. Conduct Non-Conforming Work investigations to remain in line with quality standards. Deal with possible hazards, such as manual handling, using display screens and chemicals.
