About the Opportunity

Are you an experienced Senior structural engineer looking for an exciting new opportunity with complete remote-working flexibility?

An established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is looking for a talented structural engineer to join its growing team and deliver a varied portfolio of technically challenging projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of projects, develop innovative engineering solutions and work with a collaborative team, all while enjoying the flexibility of fully remote working. Occasional site visits will be required across the M4 corridor.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver structural engineering projects from concept through to construction.
• Undertake structural analysis, calculations and design across steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
• Carry out structural surveys, inspections and existing-building assessments.
• Provide practical engineering solutions to complex design challenges.
• Liaise with clients, architects, contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant Eurocodes, British Standards and Building Regulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
• Strong experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Proven ability to independently deliver structural designs and projects.
• Good knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and structural design principles.
• Experience with steel, concrete, masonry and timber design.
• Proficiency in relevant structural design and analysis software.
• Excellent communication and technical report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects remotely.

Desirable: Chartered Engineer status (CEng), or working towards Chartership, and experience with software such as Tekla, Robot, ETABS or Tedds.
