Frontline Construction Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee works at a National Grid substation in York.

The successful candidate must hold the relevant National Grid Competent Person (CP1) certification and have previous experience working within National Grid substations or similar electrical infrastructure environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating groundworks and site activities.

• Overseeing operatives and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.

• Ensuring all works comply with National Grid site procedures and health and safety requirements.

• Conducting site briefings and monitoring safe working practices.

• Coordinating labour, plant and materials.

• Liaising with site management and client representatives.

• Ensuring all operatives hold the correct qualifications and site authorisations.

Essential Requirements

• Valid National Grid Competent Person (CP1) certification, as required for the project.

• Previous experience working within National Grid substations.

• Previous experience supervising civil engineering or groundworks operations.

• Strong understanding of substation safety procedures.

• Relevant CSCS card or industry-recognised competency card.

• Reliable, professional and confident managing site teams.
