Maintenance Supervisor Electrical Bias-(Days, 39.5hr Week)

My client are a leading design and manufacturer within the automotive sector who have experienced year on year growth. In the last 6 years they have grown to employing over 500 staff and have built a reputation for being market leaders. Due to this growth as well as an extremely healthy order book they are looking for a Maintenance Supervsor to join their Maintenance team. The role would suit a Maintenance Engineer who has experience with implementing a PPM or a Maintenance Supervisor who is willing to be hands on the tools as well as supervise.

The role of Maintenance Supervisor:-

• Planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all plant, equipment and facilities. Specialising in electrical-(Presses, Guillotines, Welding Equipment, Paint Equipment)

• Willingness to be hands on and lead from the front

• Supervision of 1 Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, 1 Maintenance Co ordinator, 1 Facilities Engineer and Contractors.

• Electrical installation

• Inspection and testing of electrical installations

• Electrical repair, fault finding and diagnosis

• Continuous improvement and project experience to reduce downtime, cost, reliance on contractors

• Willingness to be hands on 50% and also supervise 50%

• Coaching, developing, nurturing and training the maintenance team

Ideally the Maintenance Supervisor will:-

• Time served electrical maintenance engineer

• Experience of planned, predictive and breakdown maintenance of manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities

• Experience maintaining Paint Shops and mixing units, cranes and welding equipment is preferred

• Flexibility

• Be able to install, test, maintain and repair electrical systems in commercial/ industrial buildings.

• Qualified 17th or 18th edition and NVQ Level 3

• Must be able to read and understand wiring of electrical components and circuit
