As we continue to expand across the UK, this is the perfect time for an experienced engineer to take on a key role within a dynamic, forward-thinking business that values team ethos, technical excellence, collaboration, and career development.Role Overview: As a Senior refrigeration Service Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that refrigeration systems are serviced and maintained correctly, which includes heavy commercial and industrial systems (CO2, DX, propane and chilled water applications). Ammonia experience is advantageous. You will be working closely with the Service admin team, Service Supervisors, and other senior service engineers to ensure that the refrigeration systems meet the required specifications and standards for our clients.Responsibilities
Ensure refrigeration systems are serviced and maintained correctly for heavy commercial and industrial systems (CO2, DX, propane, chilled water; ammonia experience advantageous).Collaborate with the Service admin team, Service Supervisors, and other senior service engineers to ensure systems meet required specifications and standards for clients.Keep clients’ systems running to optimal conditions to meet site operating requirements, while always ensuring safe systems of work.Skills and Experience Required
Relevant qualifications: City and Guilds Refrigerant Handling 2079; CO2 experience; ammonia and propane would be advantageous.Proven experience in large commercial, or industrial refrigeration.Previous experience in a senior role.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.Thorough understanding of electrical controls.Up to date knowledge of COSHH regulations.Understanding of the principles of refrigeration and of the comprising components.Servicing of systems using approved methods and practices.Excellent skills in diagnostics to identify and resolve system failures.Ability to work unsupervised.CSCS approved.Work within current Health and Safety guidelines.Full driving licence.Operation of Mobile Elevated Working Platform.Good communication skills.Ability to plan work and meet deadlines.IT skills.What we offer in return
