Gap Personnel is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant to join our client s busy food-manufacturing operation in Hortonwood. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good attention to detail, a hands-on approach, and an interest in food safety and quality.Role Overview as a Quality Assurance Assistant Working as part of the QA team, you will support daily quality checks both on-site and off-site. You will be required to attend a location off site to sample ingredients and return them safely to the Telford site for testing.Hours of work: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 1:30pm (5 hours no break) Pay: £13.80 per hour Key Duties as a Quality Assurance Assistant Include: Off-Site (Stafford Park): Sampling ingredients off site (paid transport). Returning samples to Telford for intake testing. On-Site (Telford): Checking moth traps, including using a mobile platform at height (operated by a warehouse colleague). Completing intake checks on delivered materials. Supporting general QA duties as required-tasks may evolve based on workload. Requirements as a Quality Assurance Assistant: Comfortable working at height (use of steps and mobile platforms with guard rails). Able to carry out some lifting within legal manual handling limits (moving boxes of ingredients for sampling). Reliable, organised, and able to follow strict food safety procedures.
